The original metro cars, the MR-63 class, were gradually retired with the introduction of the new Azur (MPM-10) equipment. The last MR-63 train made a "victory lap" during the morning rush hour during June 18 to 21:
- June 18 - Yellow line
- June 19 - Green line
- June 20 - Orange line
- June 21 - Blue line
The last train consisted of the following cars:
- 81-501 - 80-001 - 81-502
- 81-505 - 80-003 - 81-506
- 81-531 - 80-016 - 81-532
For the final run on the blue line set 16 (81-531 - 80-016 - 81-532) was removed to leave a six car train.
After its final revenue run the train deadheaded to De Castelnau station after which it diverged to the lead track into the Youville garage.
